May 11-15 is Children's Book Week

Help us celebrate Children's Book Week at ICS by considering a donation to one of our book funds-funds that have been established to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to ICS. Donations to these funds are used to purchase books that honor the lives of these individuals:

Mary-Kim Arnold Fund: Honoring the tenure of a Board President who dedicates her work to diversity, books in this collection focus on culturally and linguistically responsive books. To donate to this fund, click here.

Matthew Garcia Fund: Honoring the tenure of a Board President who is a professor of Chicano Studies and American History, books in this collection focus on social studies. To donate to this fund, click here.

Don Pedro Cano Fund: Honoring one of the first Colombians to arrive in Rhode Island, books in this collection focus on the histories of Colombia, Rhode Island and the textile industry. To donate to this fund, click here.

Frank McMahon Fund: Honoring the tenure of a Board President who works in the field of advocacy, books in this collection focus on advocacy. To donate to this fund, click here.

Ellin Oliver Keene Fund: Honoring the work Ellin has done with our faculty in the area of literacy, books in this collection are those that inspire children to "think, feel and believe". To donate to this fund, click here.

Buying books in Spanish, Portuguese and English to support our two dual language program strands is costly. Please help us continue to provide a linguistically and culturally rich education to our students by donating to one of these funds by clicking on one of the funds above, or, if you would like to make a general donation, click here.

$10 will allow us to buy one book, $1000 to buy 100! Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Gracias. Obrigada.
